North Atlantic Team Tournament VII

Russell Sherwood  Wednesday, May 9, 2018

With Adam Davies drawing out our last game, Wales are now uncatchable in NATT/7, the 7th Edition of the North Atlantic Team Tournament.

Despite being the 2nd lowest seed in terms of average rating a great team performance has generated this unprecedented win, easily the best result for a Welsh team in Correspondence Chess.

A full tournament report will follow but for now Congratulations to the Team:

Wales v Italy

Russell Sherwood  Tuesday, May 8, 2018

We have a friendly match versus Italy, starting in June-July

Friendly Matches are especially suitable for New players or those looking to build a rating.

It is also useful for established players to take part as it makes it easier to arrange matches!

For those not familiar with the format, Friendly Matches involve playing two games against a similar level opponent (one with black, one with white). Individual results are compiled to give a team result. These events are suitable for all levels, due to the matching of opponents!

If you are interested in taking part please get in touch by 16th May 2018 at [email protected]

if you wish it may be possible to play more than one board in a match.

p.s. I did have a list of some interested players but a hard-drive failure wiped it!
